Melanie Ast has performed at various events such as Merritt Mountainfest and Cloverdale Rodeo. Recently she placed first in the 2011 Fraser Valley Karaoke Competition. Melanie is currently writing and performing with her band “This Side of Town” at various venues in the Lower Mainland.

Frankie Cena has been performing since elementary school and loving it since day one. Only 19, Frankie has traveled to over 15 countries including China, Italy and more with the BC Boys Choir. Frankie has been pursuing a solo career for several years, starring as Danny in the Musical Grease and winning numerous singing competitions. Currently working on a release and singing with the Metropolis Glee Choir, it would be an honor and milestone to win!

29 year old wife and mother, has been on a personal journey to discover music outside of the Gospel Church walls. She grew up hiding under the blankets, with a radio pressed against her ear, struggling to catch the power notes of artists like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and Etta James. However her greatest inspiration could be considered her husband, a professional singer, who gave her the fire in her belly to go out into the world and sing what was really in her soul. In the last year she has been in two 13 piece soul bands, two rock bands, currently writes bluesy soul originals and always wears her heart on her sleeve as a performer.

It is no accident that Kate E. Hess is on the stage. In fact, 25 years ago in Mission BC, she was born into a musical family where making music was a way of life. By the time Kate E. was 6 she was out on the road selling tapes and swag for her old man, an international recording artist, all the while knowing her turn in the spotlight would come. She has performed at numerous BC festivals, pubs and clubs but the highlight of her blossoming career came to a standing ovation at the Rockin' River Music Fest last summer. Holly loves rock singers with rather big voices and enjoys channelling her enthusiasum and emotion through song. Holly says words cannot describe the thrill of what it is like to preform & if people enjoy it its an added bonus! She considers this event a great honour, looks forward to meeting all the amazing singers and hopes this experience opens more doors to only continue on her musical journey of life!

Ian has been performing around Western Canada in a number of musical productions for over 15 years, travelling as far as Egypt and Israel to entertain the Canadian Troops in a CF Show tour. This led him to a house-band gig at the Holiday Inn located in Dubai UAE, where he learned to never complain about the hot weather in Canada. 6 years ago he was driving to Vancouver with the plan to relocate there when his car broke down in Kamloops, thus making Kamloops home.

Joel Marples, a native on Mission, has always been a big fan of r&b and hip hop from an early age.  Starting to sing karaoke regularly just over a year ago has opened up to many new styles and genres, singing a couple hundred new songs in that time (even learning a country song or two).  Joel is the owner of 4th Dimension, a home design firm and reprographics shop based out of Chilliwack.  If you've ever been in as a customer, you can bet the music will we playing when you come in!  Other hobbies include weight lifting, hiking, badminton and softball.  Joel is engaged to Christina Vogt, who not only share a love of music but are expecting a baby October 27th!

Cory Risling has been singing and songwriting since her early teens where music has been part of her family for two generations before her. Cory has played in renouned festivals such as The Merrit Music Festival and The Cloverdale Rodeo, as well in many great venues like Gabby's Country Cabaret and the legendary Rusty Gull in Vancouver BC.
Her first full length CD, “all original material” will be ready for release by Early Fall 2011.

Nicole believes that music is the real hidden language of the Soul. She has been singing since she was a little girl. She has won the Kamloops Karaoke Bar Wars 2 years in a row as well as being crowned the champion of both Kamloops Got Talent and Kamloops Idol! Jerrica Santos

At 23 Jerrica is already an accomplished singer, songwriter, musician and professional Polynesian dancer and has received her ARCT Royal Conservatory of Music Diploma for Piano.  She was also the youngest Top 32 Finalist for Canadian Idol Season 2.  She recently went to Seoul, South Korea to promote her debut album “Another Era”.  She is currently working on a new album with Get Right Music set to release later this year!

Steve is a graduate of the Professional Music program at Selkirk college in Nelson, BC. His musical highlighs include outdoor shows at the Blue Mountain Music Festival and the Royal City Show & Shine, and he's been on the winning side of several local singing competitions. Steve has performed with legendary Canadian singer songwriter Shari Ulrich and as a member of Medium Funk 120, he opened for Juno award winning recording artist Paul Janz.

There's not a time that I can remember, that I was not singing. And currently you can find me chirping away all day, in Duncan BC, at our local 'Shoe Warehouse'. Manager by day, Singer/Songwriter by night, I've had the pleasure of working with many of our homegrown talents, and performing at pretty much any event I can get invovled in. I am incredibey lucky to have the unwavering support of my friends and family, and to have the opportunity to perform with the rest of the finalists. Looking forward to it!
